ICU RN Job in Des Moines, IA

You will provide direct patient care in the intensive care unit at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center, working three 12-hour night shifts per week. This is a flex pool position offering you the opportunity to support critical care operations while maintaining schedule predictability.

Your responsibilities include:

• Monitor and care for critically ill patients requiring intensive medical supervision
• Operate advanced life support equipment and monitoring systems
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members
• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care in a high-acuity environment

Schedule details: You will work every other weekend and participate in holiday coverage, including July 4th and rotating holiday assignments thereafter. Your assignment runs for 90 days, with a start date of June 28, 2026.

Compensation: You will earn $2,316.60 per week.

Requirements: Current RN licensure is required. You must be able to work nights and demonstrate competency in critical care nursing, including the ability to manage complex patient situations and high-acuity medical equipment.
