Med Surg RN Job in Iron River, MI

Aspirus Iron River is seeking a Registered Nurse for their 25-bed Medical-Surgical unit. This is a 13-week contract beginning October 19, 2026.

Position Details

• 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 3 shifts per week with 36 guaranteed hours
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Float to the emergency department within competency as needed
• Call back minimum of 2 hours; may be placed on call if census is low

Unit Overview

You will provide general nursing care on a 25-bed Med/Surg unit serving primarily geriatric patients with conditions including CHF, COPD, and diabetes. Night shift patient ratios are 1:6.

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of Med/Surg nursing experience
• Current Michigan RN license
• AHA BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Strong charting experience with Epic EMR, CareScape patient monitors, and Pyxis
• Emergency department experience preferred but not required

Compensation

Weekly pay is $2,512.

Additional Information

You must reside outside 50 miles of the facility. Any colored scrubs are permitted.
