Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• 13-week contract beginning 10/19
• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Float to the emergency department within competency required
• Can be low censused and placed on call; call back minimum is 2 hours
• 25-bed Med/Surg unit with patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights
• Provide general nursing care for primarily geriatric patients with conditions including CHF, COPD, and diabetes
• Minimum 2+ years of Med/Surg experience required
• Emergency department experience preferred but not required
• Current Michigan RN license required
• AHA BLS certification required; ACLS preferred but not required
• Strong charting experience with Epic EMR, CareScape patient monitors, and Pyxis required
• Candidates with both Med/Surg and ED experience are highly preferred
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Any colored scrubs permitted
• Must reside outside 50 miles of facility
