Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work on a 60-bed Medical Surgical Unit with mixed acuity and diverse patient populations
• Care for post-surgical cases, diverse medical conditions, traumas, strokes, and inpatient hospice patients
• Every other weekend schedule required
• No on-call responsibilities
• 2+ years of straight Med Surg experience required (not float, not SDU/TELE)
• Level I or Level II Trauma experience required
• Travel experience preferred
• Must maintain strict attendance policy - 3 strikes for absences or being more than 20 minutes late results in immediate termination
• Required certification: BLS (AHA)
• Michigan nursing license required with LARA and Nursys verification
• Skills checklist completed within one year of application required
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Utilize clinical pathways, patient education, and interactive communication to address all aspects of patient care
• Demonstrate effective communication through collegial relationships, SBAR, and interdisciplinary communication
