Med Surg RN Job in Iron River, MI

Aspirus Iron River is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Medical-Surgical unit. This is a 13-week contract position with an immediate start date.

Position Details

• 12-hour night shifts, 3 days per week
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Float to the emergency department within your competency as needed
• May be placed on call with a 2-hour minimum call-back requirement

Unit Overview

You will work on a 25-bed Med/Surg unit providing general nursing care primarily for geriatric patients with conditions including CHF, COPD, and diabetes. Patient ratios are 1:4 to 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights.

Requirements

• Current Michigan RN license and AHA BLS certification
• Minimum 2+ years of Med/Surg nursing experience
• Strong charting experience with Epic EMR, CareScape patient monitors, and Pyxis
• Associate Degree or Certificate in Nursing (Bachelor's Degree preferred)
• ACLS preferred but not required
• Emergency department experience preferred; candidates with both Med/Surg and ED experience are highly preferred

Additional Information

• Any colored scrubs permitted
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility

Weekly pay is $2,402.64. Contract duration is 91 days, beginning November 2, 2026.
