Med Surg RN Job in Iron River, MI

Aspirus Iron River is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Medical-Surgical unit. This is a 13-week travel contract with an ASAP start date.

Schedule and Pay

• 3 shifts of 12 hours per week
• Day shifts 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and night shifts 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Guaranteed 72 hours biweekly with overtime available after 80 hours worked in the second week
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• No on-call or callback requirements
• Weekly pay: $2,514

The Role

• Provide general nursing care for a 25-bed Med/Surg unit serving primarily geriatric patients with conditions including CHF, COPD, and diabetes
• Patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights
• Float to the emergency department within competency as needed

Required Qualifications

• Current Michigan RN license and AHA BLS certification
• Minimum 2+ years of Med/Surg nursing experience
• Strong charting experience with Epic EMR, CareScape patient monitors, and Pyxis
• Associate Degree or Certificate in nursing

Preferred Qualifications

• ED experience
• ACLS certification
• Bachelor's Degree

• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
