NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care

RN - NICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract assignment
• Level 2 NICU unit located on the 2nd floor
• Unit has 9 beds with overflow capacity for up to 15 patients
• Patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:3, with occasional 1:1 assignments for high acuity patients awaiting transport
• Night shift typically requires 3-4 RNs per shift
• NICU experience required - candidates without this experience will not be considered
• Delivery experience preferred
• Assist NNP with complex procedures including surfactant administration, UVC placement, lumbar puncture, needle aspiration of pneumothorax, and circumcision
• Perform full admissions of new patients to NICU including IV starts and lab draws
• Work with respiratory support equipment including SiPAP, CPAP, HFNC, and LFNC
• Work with feeding pumps and IV support including UVC and PIV
• EMR system: Meditech
• Dress code: Navy scrubs required
