Job Details:

• Work in a Level 2 Special Care Nursery covering deliveries and respiratory requirements for mothers in post-partum and infants in the specialty care nursery
• Administer medicated aerosol therapy including small volume nebulizers
• Provide patient education for aerosol, MDI, and DPI therapy including DPI, MDI, and holding chamber instruction
• Operate medication carts, Omnicell bar coding, and medication administration systems
• Perform suctioning and manual ventilation procedures
• Assist with intubation and assisted ventilation
• Respond to high-risk deliveries and administer surfactant per protocol
• Follow NRP protocol and T-piece ventilation procedures
• Perform blood gas sampling, analysis, and interpretation
• Provide humidified therapy including heated humidity, aerosol mask, nasal cannula, and oxygen masks
• NRP certification required
