ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 91-day assignment at Cleveland Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. You will work 3x12 night shifts at $1,930.50 per week.
In this role, you will provide comprehensive respiratory therapy services across pediatric specialty areas, including Pediatric ICU, Neonatal ICU, Pediatric Cardiac ICU, tracheostomy/ventilator units, the Emergency Room, and general respiratory care settings. You will also support MacDonald Women's Hospital in delivering women's respiratory care and high-risk delivery support.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Administering medicated aerosol therapy using small volume nebulizers, breath-actuated nebulizers, vibrating mesh nebulizers, and patient education on inhalation therapies
- Performing airway clearance therapy using clapping, vibration, positive expiratory pressure, high-frequency chest wall oscillation, and cough assist techniques
- Managing airways through suctioning, tracheostomy care, manual ventilation, ventilator system checks, and CPAP/BiPAP/NIMV support
- Supporting high-risk deliveries with surfactant administration, NRP protocol implementation, T-piece ventilation, and intubation assistance
- Conducting blood gas sampling, analysis, and interpretation
- Providing humidity therapy using heated humidity systems, aerosol masks, trach collars, and HME devices
- Following clinical practice guidelines for asthma care, cystic fibrosis care, respiratory distress syndrome management, and bronchopulmonary dysplasia prevention
- Monitoring patients using pulse oximetry, peak flow meters, capnography, ventilator graphic interpretation, and transcutaneous CO2 monitoring
- Transporting patients with portable HFNC units, T-piece ventilation, and assisting with MRI transports and neonatal rapid response team calls
- Administering oxygen and special gas therapy including high-flow nasal cannula, inhaled nitric oxide, and heliox therapy
You will collaborate with attending physicians, fellows, advanced practice providers, hospitalists, residents, nursing staff, and other healthcare disciplines to deliver coordinated patient care.
