ED RN Job in Kingwood, TX

Join HCA Houston Kingwood as a Registered Nurse in our Emergency Department. This is a 13-week travel assignment offering competitive weekly pay of $1,674 with a start date of October 19, 2026.

Role Overview

You will work in an offsite freestanding emergency room setting on the 1st floor, providing direct patient care in a fast-paced environment. Patient ratios are 4 to 1 based on acuity, with 1 to 1 ratio available when needed. The unit operates with 9 beds and maintains 3 RNs on day and night shifts, with 1 RN/tech on mid shift.

Schedule

3 shifts of 12 hours nights per week. You will rotate weekends or work 4 weekend days per schedule (Saturday and Sunday). Floating may be required to the main ER, other offsite freestanding emergency rooms including Fallcreek or Cleveland, and the Pediatric Emergency Room.

Core Responsibilities and Skills

• Perform triage and patient assessment using acuity-based protocols
• IV placement, EKG interpretation, and moderate sedation procedures
• Lab work collection and point-of-care testing
• Flu and strep swabs, foley catheter placement
• Must have IV skills, EKG skills, and triage acuity training—candidates without these will not be considered

Equipment and Systems

You will work with IV pumps, point-of-care lab machines including Sysmex XP 300, Piccolo, Aliere, Clinitek, Sofia, EPOC, and Novastat glucometer. The EKG machine is a MACVU360. The electronic medical record system is Meditech Expanse.

Required and Preferred Certifications

Required: ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and BLS. Preferred certifications include ENPC and CPI.
