PCU RN Job in Gilbert, AZ

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit at Banner Gateway Medical Center, located at 1900 N Higley Road in Gilbert, Arizona. This is a 3x12 night shift position with an 89-day contract starting November 30, 2026.

Your Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care according to organizational policies and professional nursing standards
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments covering physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural needs, and discharge planning
• Review patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data; report abnormal results to physicians and appropriate caregivers
• Formulate and implement individualized plans of care in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members
• Delegate and supervise activities of licensed and non-licensed healthcare team members
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching; revise care plans as needed
• Document assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and timely in patient records
• Participate in shared leadership, education, role development, and orientation of personnel, patients, students, and families
• Precept and mentor staff to support professional growth when appropriate

Requirements

• Current, valid RN license in Arizona or compact RN licensure
• BLS certification required
• Minimum one year acute care hospital experience
• Experience in acute care setting within past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the specialty area
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred

Physical Requirements

You must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently. You may be required to lift up to 75 pounds. Standard precautions apply due to potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids.

Compensation

Weekly pay: $2,559
