Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• 13-week contract working three 12-hour night shifts per week from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Patient ratio of 1:5 on all shifts including days, nights, and weekends
• 8 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule period, combination of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• Guaranteed 3 shifts per 13-week contract; cancelled shifts must be the regular assigned shift length
• Regular floating may be required between departments, units, and facilities as needed
• Holiday shifts and Charge RN assignments as needed per unit
• Must be comfortable caring for post-cath patients
• Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility; local candidates will not be accepted
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off allowed
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• Required skills: Telemetry, telemetry on-unit monitoring, and titrating cardiac drips
• Additional skills needed include: accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, central line care and management, continuous bladder irrigation, feeding tube care and management, heparin protocols, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, nasal cannula, pacemaker management, PCA, PICC line management, renal failure care, starting and maintaining IVs, use of rapid response/code teams, and wound care/wound vac
• Charting system: EPIC (experience preferred)
• Scrub color: Navy
• Parking is free
• No on-call required
• Block scheduling not available
• Pending licenses not accepted
• Must hold both Kansas and Missouri licenses or a compact license at time of submission
