Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Float position covering medical, surgical, oncology, neuro, renal, and cardiology units
• Patient ratios: 1:5-6 for days and weekends, 1:6 for nights
• Every other weekend required or 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule minimum (Saturday/Sunday); plus holiday rotation obligation
• Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13-week contract
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Required certifications: BCLS, ACLS, IV start, and Telemetry
• Preferred certification: NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• No on-call required
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Charting system: EPIC
• Free parking available
• Special equipment required: lift devices (training provided), ceiling lifts, and bladder scanner
• Float process: Workers in the float pool are asked to call in to a recorded line up to 1 hour before scheduled shift start time to receive unit assignment
• Maximum of 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract
• Patient age groups: Adults and Geriatrics
• Daily census: 28 to 50 patients depending on specific unit
• Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
