Telemetry RN Job in Springfield, MO

You'll work night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM on a 13-week assignment at Mercy Hospital Springfield. This is a 3x12 night shift role earning $2,102.40 weekly.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Care for patients post-trauma, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities
• Coordinate patient care with ancillary departments
• Monitor telemetry equipment and manage IV pumps, tube feeding pumps, and lift equipment
• Perform drug titration as required
• Work with a 32-bed unit serving medical/medical telemetry patients and patients with developmental delays

Requirements

• Current RN license (eligible for Missouri licensure or currently licensed in Missouri)
• 1 year of inpatient telemetry experience
• BLS certification from AHA only
• NIHSS certification (may be obtained prior to start date)
• Experience and competence in drug titration

Schedule and Details

• 36 or 48 guaranteed weekly hours (specify on submission form)
• Weekend hours as required by facility
• No call requirements
• Float to other units on a rotational basis
• Orientation occurs on day shift; you must be available the entire orientation week
• Patient ratios: nights 1:6–1:7 (not guaranteed)
• Black scrubs required (no exceptions)
• RTO must be made up on back end, not approved in first week
• Holiday RTO limited to 1 per assignment

Physical Demands

You'll stand and walk most of the shift, lift up to 50 lbs, and frequently bend and stoop. The facility uses EPIC EMR.
