Certified Surgical Technologist Job in Mammoth Lakes, CA

You'll work as a Certified Surgical Technologist at Mammoth Hospital for a 13-week assignment. This role involves 3x12 rotating shifts with day and evening hours, and on-call availability is required.

What You'll Do

• Scrub all surgical procedures, including specialty cases in sports medicine and trauma
• Create and maintain a sterile field throughout each case
• Inspect sterile items for contamination before opening
• Anticipate equipment and supply needs before cases begin
• Verify all equipment is functioning correctly before use
• Operate and maintain mechanical, electrical, and air-powered equipment per manufacturer guidelines
• Understand individual surgeons' techniques and special requirements
• Scrub specialty surgeries independently without sales representative presence
• Assist the RN with operative charge completion and hardware recording
• Collect and verify specimens and cultures with correct tissue identification

What You'll Need

• High school diploma
• Minimum one year of operating room experience as a Surgical Technician or completion of Surgical Technician training
• Certification or eligibility for certification preferred
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification required

Compensation and Details

You'll earn $67.50 per hour, with weekly pay of $1,257. Your assignment begins September 8, 2026.
