ICU Registered Nurse Job in Saint Louis, MO

Missouri Baptist Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a 91-day travel assignment in our Intensive Care Unit. You will work the night shift (3x12) at a weekly rate of $2,237.67, starting August 10, 2026.

Role Overview

You will float across multiple ICU units including Trauma, Oncology, Cardiac/Heart and Vascular, Neurology, and Medicine. When census is low in ICU, you may be assigned to inpatient floors or non-critical care units. You will care for adult and geriatric patients, with rare adolescent patients (ages 16–18, adult size/weight). Patient ratios in the ICU are 2:1; on inpatient floors, ratios do not exceed 1:3. You may also serve as a patient sitter as needed.

Schedule & Requirements

• Night shift, 3 days per week (3x12)
• Every other weekend requirement with a minimum of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Holiday rotation participation

Required Qualifications

• 2 years of ICU experience plus a minimum of 1 year of Cardiac/Vascular ICU experience
• Travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be accepted
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Proficiency in ventilator management, IV starts, telemetry monitoring, conscious sedation, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, infection prevention, and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips

Preferred Qualifications

• CPI, OCN, or TNCC certifications
• Experience with Swan-Ganz/pulmonary artery lines, IABP, Impella, ECMO, CRRT/CVVHD, or ICP monitoring
• Chemotherapy administration, triage, or Level 1 Trauma experience
• Previous Epic charting experience
