Job Details:

• Position specialty: Medical ICU (MICU)
• Schedule options: 36 or 48 hours per week available
• Shift type: 3x12 or 4x12 shifts
• Patient ratio: 1:2
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call required
• Float possible within ICU service line and to MS areas within ICU service line
• Guaranteed hours provided
• Block scheduling not available
• 1.5 years of ICU experience required; 1.5 years MICU preferred
• If less than 2 years of experience, Level I trauma experience is required
• Must have experience in a 20+ bed ICU
• First-time travelers accepted
• Home address must be at least 75 miles from facility
• Maximum of 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract
• Must pass Relias EKG exam; interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Preferred certifications: BSN, CCRN
• Charting system: Epic (experience required)
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Required clinical skills include: pressor support, endotracheal tube (ETT) management, tracheostomies, feeding tubes, chest tubes, wound care, sterile technique for line insertion, paracentesis, bedside trach placement, bronchoscopy, and phlebotomy
• Must be competent in caring for patients on CRRT via NxStage
• Preferred skills: Swan-Ganz catheter, inhaled and IV Flolan, CVVHD, proning, and MTP Level 1 Rapid Transfuser
• Additional required skills include: arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, continuous IV sedation and paralytics, emergency medications, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), interpretation of ABGs, IV insulin protocols, management of multisystem organ dysfunction, PICC line management, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, and ventilator management
• Interdisciplinary support available: Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and Unit Secretary
