ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - CCU; ICU Float

Job Details:

• Float to multiple ICUs including Trauma, Oncology, Cardiac/Heart and Vascular, Neurology, Medicine, and COVID units
• ICU patient ratio is 2:1 for all shifts
• Float to inpatient floors when needed with a ratio of no more than 1:3
• Float to non-critical care units if census is low in ICU, and may be asked to serve as a patient sitter if needed
• Every other weekend requirement with a minimum of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule, plus holiday rotation
• Patients include adults and geriatrics; adolescents are rare but would be adult size/weight ages 16-18
• Specific CVICU experience is not required
• 2 years of ICU experience required, plus a minimum of 1 year CV ICU experience
• Travel experience required; first-time travelers will not be accepted
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Preferred certifications: CPI, OCN, TNCC
• Required skills: Ventilator management, IV start, telemetry monitoring, conscious sedation, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care/management, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, infection prevention, isolation precautions/PPE, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Preferred skills: Swan-Ganz/pulmonary artery line hemodynamic interpretation, IABP, Impella, ECMO, CRRT/CVVHD, ICP monitoring, administration of chemotherapy, triage, Level 1 Trauma experience
• Past Epic charting experience preferred
