ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - Trauma ICU

Job Details:

• Work in a 20-bed Surgical Trauma ICU (STICU) with a 1:2 patient ratio
• Required to work 6 weekend shifts on a 6-week schedule
• Wear all navy or all white scrubs; navy bottoms with white top is also acceptable
• Document using Cerner Power Chart electronic health record system
• Work with equipment including EVDs, Camino/bolts, wound vacs, Baxter IV pumps, GE Carescape bedside monitors, GE ventilators, iCool machines, Blanketrol blanket, Bair Hugger, Prisma Max CRRT, Zoll, Kangaroo feeding pumps, and Alaris PCA pumps
• Perform procedures including intubation, extubation, chest tube placement, central line placement, A-line placement, Foley placement, bronchoscopy, endoscopy, proning, TPA administration, hypertonic medication administration, trach placement, EVD/bolt placement, CRRT/HD, irrigation and debridement, and minor surgery
• Trauma ICU experience at a Level I or Level II Trauma Center required
• Surgical ICU experience required
• Acute Care ICU skills required; LTAC experience will not be considered
• Must be a team player with a positive attitude and flexibility
• Must demonstrate kind and compassionate patient care
• Travelers may float to other ICUs including MICU, NSICU, CVICU, CICU, or Step Down before core staff
• Required certifications: Valid Nursing License, Active ACLS and BLS Certifications
