Oncology RN Job in Garner, NC

University of North Carolina Health Care System is seeking an RN for an outpatient oncology position in Garner, NC. This 89-week travel assignment runs 8-hour shifts at $1,538 weekly, with a start date of September 28, 2026.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Provide clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards in an outpatient oncology setting
• Administer chemotherapy and biotherapy infusions, blood products, IV iron, fluids, and electrolytes
• Perform port lab draws and injections
• Provide patient and family education and emotional support
• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process
• Assess patients with complex problems including physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety aspects of care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to evaluate and update patient care plans
• Perform bedside point of care testing as required
• Assess and anticipate discharge needs of individual patients and families

Required qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of outpatient chemotherapy/immunotherapy infusion experience
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy certification (ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration is not accepted)
• Previous Epic experience
