Oncology RN Job in Asheville, NC

You will work as an RN on K9A, the Oncology/Women's Surgical unit at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. This is a 182-day travel assignment with a start date of July 23, 2026.

Shift and Schedule

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, nights (6:45 PM–7:15 AM)
• Weekly pay: $2,125
• 6 weekend days required per schedule
• Rare on-call requirements

Role Details

• Patient ratios of 1:4 or 1:5
• Perform typical unit procedures including occasional pelvic exams, echocardiograms, and thoracentesis
• Use Cerner electronic medical records system
• Operate standard unit equipment
• Float to other med-surg units on rare occasions

Unit Staffing

• Night shift includes 1 CNC, 4–6 RNs, and 2 CNAs
• Day shift includes 1 CNC, 4–6 RNs, 2 CNAs, and 1 HUC

Requirements and Preferences

• Active RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Chemo certification preferred
• Team player mentality with willingness to learn preferred

Dress Code

• RNs must wear navy, white, or a combination of both colors
• CNAs must wear Galaxy Blue
