Oncology RN Job in Asheville, NC

You will work as an RN on K9A, a 24-bed Oncology and Women's Surgical unit on the 9th floor of Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. This is a backfill position with a start date of October 19, 2026, for a 182-day assignment.

Schedule and Pay

• 3 nights per week, 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• $2,094 weekly
• 6 weekend days required per schedule
• Rare on-call requirements

Unit Details

• Patient ratios of 1:4 or 1:5
• Night shift staffing includes 1 CNC, 4–6 RNs, and 2 CNAs
• EMR system: Cerner
• Standard unit equipment

Clinical Responsibilities

• Deliver oncology nursing care on a mixed med-surgical unit
• Perform occasional pelvic exams, echocardiograms, and thoracentesis procedures
• Float to other med-surgical units on rare occasions

Requirements

• Active RN license
• BLS certification
• Chemo certification preferred
• Team player attitude and willingness to learn

Dress Code

RNs must wear navy, white, or a combination of both colors.
