Oncology RN Job in Matthews, NC

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Oncology department at Novant Health Cancer Institute, providing direct care to adult patients (18 and older) with Hematology and Medical Oncology diagnoses. This is a 13-week travel contract running from November 19, 2026.

Schedule and Environment

• 8-hour day shifts, 7:45 AM to 5:15 PM, five days per week
• 40 hours available per week at $2,061 weekly pay
• No on-call requirement and no weekend requirement
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• May float between Matthews and Ballantyne Clinics (approximately 20 minutes apart)

Clinical Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and manage care for up to 10 infusion chairs
• Central line experience required
• Operate ambulatory infusion pumps
• Chart using Epic, Pyxis, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams
• Medication mixing handled by mixing techs and pharmacy staff

Requirements and Experience

• Minimum 2 years of Oncology-specific nursing experience
• Current BCLS certification required
• ONS Chemo/Bio Card certification required
• OCN certification preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• First-time travelers accepted

Onboarding

• 8-hour unit orientation; you must be available for classes each day during your first week
