Job Details:

• 26-week contract
• Day shift schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
• Patient ratio of 6 per shift with 3 to 4 patients managed at a time
• Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards
• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting
• Perform patient assessments including physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs for complex situations
• Develop and update individualized plans of care in collaboration with patients and families
• Demonstrate competence in care of patients with complex problems including population-appropriate care
• Perform bedside point of care testing as required for patient care plans
• Organize and prioritize care according to patient and family needs
• Consult with appropriate resources regarding patients with complex care issues or high-risk discharge planning needs
• Participate in interdisciplinary team discussions to evaluate and promote continuity of patient care
• Assess and anticipate discharge needs of individual patients and families
• Identify and address cultural and ethnic considerations in patient care planning
• Participate in unit goal development and performance improvement activities
• Promote a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment for all patients and staff
