About this role
You'll work as an RN on K9A, a combined Oncology and Women's Surgical unit located on the 9th floor of Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. This is a 91-day travel assignment with 3x12 night shifts (6:45 PM–7:15 AM), paying $2,102.40 per week.
Unit Overview
The unit has 24 beds staffed by a team of 42 members. Night shift staffing includes one Charge Nurse, 4–6 RNs, and 2 CNAs. You'll care for patients with a typical ratio of 1:4 or 1:5.
Your Role
You'll provide direct patient care on an oncology unit that handles a mix of cancer care and women's surgical patients. Procedures you may encounter include occasional pelvic exams, echocardiograms, and thoracentesis. The unit uses Cerner as its electronic medical record system and standard equipment throughout.
Schedule & Expectations
You'll work night shifts three days per week. The schedule requires six weekend days per rotation. On-call requirements are rare, and floating to other med-surg units is uncommon. This assignment begins July 23, 2026.
Requirements & Preferences
- Current RN license and BLS certification required
- Chemo certification preferred
- Dress code: navy, white, or a combination of both
