Telemetry RN Job in Maryville, TN

Prisma Health Blount Memorial Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Telemetry unit in Maryville, Tennessee. This is a 91-week travel position offering three 12-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM) at $2,025 weekly pay.

Role Overview

You will provide direct care to adult patients in a step-down setting, managing patients transitioning from ICU-level care. This unit does not include ventilator or pressor support. Patient ratios are 6:1 across all shifts, with weekend coverage required every other weekend. Floating to other medical-surgical units may occur based on census needs.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Administer and manage cardiac drips including heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, and sotalol initiation
• Perform telemetry monitoring both on-unit and remotely
• Care for patients with higher oxygen demands, dialysis needs, atrial fibrillation, and post-cardiac catheterization status
• Manage BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, and blood product administration
• Maintain central lines and follow heparin protocols
• Interpret ABGs and dysrhythmias; manage dysrhythmia response
• Provide pre- and post-cardiac catheterization care
• Support pre- and post-hemodialysis management
• Perform wound care and IV management
• Operate peritoneal dialysis equipment as needed

Required Qualifications

• Current Tennessee nursing license
• Minimum 1 year recent experience in Med-Surg Telemetry or similar unit
• Minimum 1 year EPIC EMR experience
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications

Block scheduling applies. Contract terms of 13 or 26 weeks are available. Start date is September 8, 2026.
