Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 3 days per week
• Contract options of 13 to 26 weeks available
• Block scheduling type
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend, subject to change based on need
• Floating to other med surg units may be required based on census needs
• Patient ratio of 6 patients per nurse on days, nights, and weekends
• Care for adult patients with diagnoses including higher oxygen demands, dialysis, atrial fibrillation, and post heart catheterization
• Step-down from ICU level care with no ventilators or pressor support
• Administer and manage cardiac drips including heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, and sotalol initiation
• Telemetry monitoring responsibilities both on-unit and remote
• Skills required include BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, central line care, chest tube management, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula, ABG interpretation, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, pre/post cardiac cath care, pre/post hemodialysis management, wound care/wound vac, and more
• Special equipment experience required: peritoneal dialysis
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Tennessee nursing license required
• 24 orientation hours required
• One pre-approved time off request permitted per contract
