Join West Central – UPMC Altoona as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Altoona, PA. This is a 90-day travel assignment where you will work three 12-hour shifts per week, earning $1,368 weekly.

Your Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care under the direction of RN and LPN staff, including assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting, ambulating, and transporting patients
• Maintain a safe and clean patient environment by completing safety checks, organizing patient rooms, cleaning department-specific equipment, changing bed linens, and keeping hallways clear
• Respond promptly to patient calls and requests
• Acquire and distribute supplies and equipment to support care delivery
• Assist patients with nourishment, including feeding assistance and filling water pitchers
• Perform routine monitoring tasks such as recording weights, taking vital signs, and tracking intake and output
• Communicate observations to RN and LPN staff, reporting changes in patient status in a timely manner
• Document patient care activities in the medical record according to established procedures
• Comply with all safety policies, standard precautions, and bloodborne pathogen exposure protocols
• Respond appropriately to emergent situations within the scope of the nursing assistant role

Required Qualifications:

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• PA Act 31, Act 33, Act 34, and Act 73 compliance
• Minimum two years of nursing assistant experience
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
