Telemetry RN Job in Corpus Christi, TX

Join Doctors Regional Medical Center as a Telemetry RN on a 22-bed medical/surgical orthopedic unit. You'll work the night shift, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., three days per week for 13 weeks, starting October 19, 2026. This assignment offers the opportunity to develop expertise in acute telemetry nursing while earning $1,674 weekly.

Role Details

• Care for 4–6 patients per shift with maximum patient ratios of 6:1
• Night shift staffing: 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, 1–2 PCAs, and 0–2 sitters
• Provide direct nursing care to medical/surgical and orthopedic patients
• Perform IV insertions, urinary catheter insertion and maintenance, central line maintenance, and medication administration
• Monitor patients using standard telemetry equipment
• Document all patient care in the Meditech EMR system
• Float to other medical/surgical units as needed
• Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team
• Rotating weekend schedule required

Requirements

• Current, valid RN license
• 2+ years acute medical/surgical nursing experience within the last year
• Demonstrated ability to manage 4–6 patients independently
• 2+ years orthopedic nursing experience preferred
• Professional appearance in scrubs
• Patient-centered and team-focused approach
