Cath Lab Technologist Job in Charleston, SC

MUSC Health - Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital is seeking an Allied Health Professional to join our Radiology/Cardiology team as a Cath Lab Technologist in Charleston, SC. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning August 31, 2026.

Position Overview

You will work in a 2-room Cath Lab setting performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures for pediatric, neonatal, and adult patients. Your primary patient population includes congenital heart disease cases, and you will assist with procedures including pediatric and adult transplant evaluations, right and left heart biopsies, balloon angioplasty, stent placement, and valve procedures.

Schedule and Compensation

• Day shift: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday (5x8)
• On-call required: 8–10 call shifts per month, including weekend coverage
• Weekly pay: $2,620
• Guaranteed hours: Facility may call off up to 1 shift per 2 weeks; called-off hours may be prorated
• Parking: One-time $20 pass required for nights and weekends only

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience (first-time travelers accepted)
• Current BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
• Either CCI with RCIS/RCES (preferred) or ARRT (R) with SCRQSA (R)
• Radiation badge required (provided by agency)
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system

Preferred Experience

• Interventional Radiology (IR) background, particularly pediatric IR
• Level I Trauma Pediatric Cath Lab experience
• Electrophysiology (EP) procedures
