PCU RN Job in Asheville, NC

Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Work on a 44-bed Progressive Care Unit in K Tower, K7 floor
• Maintain patient ratios of 4:1 at grid or 5:1 when stretched
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Must have neuro and trauma care experience
• Float to stepdown units and med-surg units as needed
• Work every other weekend
• Dress code requires navy blue scrubs
• Use electronic medical record system Cerner
• Operate equipment including IV pumps, Skylift, PCA pumps, chest tubes, trachs, and patient lifts
• Perform typical procedures including neuro and spinal checks, C-collar placement, TLSO braces, chest tube management, PCA pump monitoring, IV infusions, lumbar drain care, feeding tube placement, and blood transfusions
• Must be a team player with patient-focused approach
• Work alongside charge nurses, RNs, CNAs, and HUC staff members
