PCU RN Job in Asheville, NC

You'll work as an RN in a 44-bed Progressive Care Unit at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. This is a 91-day travel assignment with a start date of June 15, 2026.

Schedule & Compensation

• 3x12 night shifts (6:45 PM–7:15 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• Weekly pay: $2,102.40

Unit Details

The PCU operates with a patient ratio of 4:1 at grid and 5:1 when stretched. Night shift staffing includes 2 CNC/Charge nurses, 11 RNs, 4 CNAs, and 1 HUC. You may float to step-down and med-surg units as needed.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Perform neuro and spinal checks, C-collar placement, and TLSO brace application
• Manage chest tubes, PCA pumps, and IV infusions
• Assist with lumbar drain management and feeding tube placement
• Administer blood transfusions
• Work with IV pumps, Skylift, PCA pumps, chest tubes, trachs, and patient lifts
• Utilize Cerner EMR system

Requirements

• Neuro and trauma care experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Navy blue scrubs (dress code)
