PCU RN Job in Asheville, NC

You'll work as an RN in Mission Hospital's Progressive Care Unit, caring for both step-down and medical-surgical patients on night shifts. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting March 23, 2026.

Your Role

You'll provide direct patient care with the following ratios:

• Step-down patients: 1:3-4
• Medical-surgical patients: 1:4-6

You'll manage equipment including lifts, chest tubes, cardiac drips, stable ventilated patients, and tracheostomies. Your typical duties include trach care, chest tube management, and wound dressing changes.

Scheduling

You'll work three 12-hour night shifts per week (6:45 PM to 7:15 AM), with a weekly pay of $2,102.40. You're required to work six Saturday or Sunday shifts within each 6-week period and may float to other medical-surgical and progressive care units as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years nursing experience
• Experience working with tracheostomies
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Cerner EMR experience preferred

You'll need to demonstrate flexibility and high-level clinical competence in a fast-paced environment.
