Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Adult

Job Details:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for each patient using the nursing process
• Provide quality care based on assessment needs and established plan of care
• Administer medications and perform treatments in an accurate and safe manner
• Implement physician orders as written and notify physician of pertinent observations and changes in patient status
• Provide patient and family education from admission through discharge
• Maintain thorough, concise, accurate, and legible documentation of the nursing process
• Accept responsibility for direction of co-workers and delegation of role-appropriate tasks
• Supervise and direct the work of nursing assistants in a professional manner
• Ensure equipment and supplies are readily available for patient care and report malfunctions to proper department
• Must be able to manage urgent situations calmly and communicate empathically with patients
• Ability to prioritize work tasks when multiple issues need attention simultaneously
• Strong critical thinking, organization, and problem-solving skills required
• Heavy work environment requiring ability to exert 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally and frequent patient handling activity
• Valid Ohio nursing license required
• CPR certification required
• Previous registered nursing experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and independent decision-making skills required
