Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Every other weekend scheduling required
• On-call as needed
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• May float to other units within scope of practice, including Ashby or Herrick Campus depending on need and census
• Shuttle provided when floating to different campuses
• Advance notice of approximately 1.5 hours prior to shift start time expected when floating
• Conduct comprehensive patient and family assessments encompassing physiological, spiritual, and emotional areas
• Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care incorporating psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors
• Collaborate and communicate with physicians and healthcare team members to coordinate daily patient care plans
• Provide competent, compassionate, and cost-effective patient care in accordance with evidence-based nursing practice
• Monitor patient care interventions, assess therapies, evaluate outcomes, and intervene as warranted
• Accurately document and update all treatment information in the patient's electronic health record (EHR)
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Telemetry experience required; EKG experience preferred
• Unit primarily serves stroke and cardiac patients including post-stroke, TIA, CHF, sepsis, and pre-procedural patients
• 30-bed unit with a daily census of 23
• Adults patient population
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Valid California RN License required
