Opportunity:
IR Tech - IR Tech
Job Details:
• Work 10.5-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM
• Required to work weekends and holidays on a rotational basis
• Overtime may be required based on departmental needs
• On-call coverage required 2-4 days per month
• A.A.S. in Radiologic Technology or equivalent required
• NYS license/registration required
• Minimum one year of CT/MRI experience as a radiologic technologist required
• Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance
• Greet patients and explain examinations prior to procedures
• Position patients and set proper exposure factors to obtain required quality radiographs
• Practice appropriate radiation safety and protection to minimize patient radiation exposure
• Operate imaging equipment efficiently and effectively to obtain quality studies
• Report any equipment malfunctions to immediate supervisor
• Process films and input information into the Radiology Information System for documentation and billing purposes
• Follow department procedures and protocols as defined in the Policy and Procedure Manual
• Perform radiologic examinations based on referring physician and radiologist needs
