ED Registered Nurse Job in Stockbridge, GA

Piedmont Henry Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department in Stockbridge, Georgia. This is a 140-day travel assignment beginning October 26, 2026, offering 3x12 night shifts at $1,803 weekly.

Role Overview

You will provide direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting, managing patients across all age groups from neonates to geriatrics. You will assess, triage, and treat a diverse patient population while maintaining a 4:1 patient ratio. The facility is a Level 3 trauma center in process, primary stroke center, and chest pain center with STEMI and CHF capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform emergency triage and patient assessment
• Manage care of ventilated patients
• Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias
• Administer procedural sedation and continuous IV sedation as needed
• Float within the facility as required within your scope of practice
• Work every other weekend with no on-call responsibilities
• Complete 12 orientation hours

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of emergency nursing experience; first-time travelers are welcome
• Georgia or Compact nursing license required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
• Telemetry competency exam completion
• Experience with ventilated patient care, dysrhythmia interpretation, and triage
• Familiarity with specialized equipment including Arctic Sun and Glucommander

Preferred Qualifications

• CPI, TNCC, ENPC, or NIHSS certifications
• Experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring

Assignment Terms

You may request up to 7 days of time off per contract. Holiday expectations: if one or two major holidays fall during your assignment, you will work all of them; if three major holidays fall during your assignment, you will work two of them.
