CVOR Technologist Job in Wausau, WI

Aspirus Wausau Hospital is seeking a Cardiovascular Surgical Technologist (CVOR Technologist) for a 9-week travel assignment. You will work day shifts Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with 40 guaranteed hours per week.

Your Responsibilities

• Set up operative suites efficiently and ensure all supplies are available through case cart review
• Scrub surgical cases across a variety of specialties, including cardiac and thoracic procedures with robotic technology
• Turn over rooms for multiple procedures throughout the day
• Support approximately 50–60 cases per month across 3 cardiothoracic surgeons
• Perform downtime tasks such as pulling case carts and cleaning

Schedule and Call Requirements

• On-call: 1 night per week, 1 weekend per month, and 1 backup per week with a 30-minute response time
• Every 3rd weekend rotation and holiday rotation required
• Additional mandated call may occasionally be required
• May be required to float to all Central Aspirus locations as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of CVOR experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Cardiac and thoracic experience as well as thoracic robot experience
• CST license (NBSTSA or NCCT accepted)
• BLS certification required
• AHA or ARC certifications required
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate Degree or Certificate preferred
• Must be located outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Flexible, motivated candidate with excellent work ethic who manages change well

Compensation

Weekly pay: $2,556
