CVOR Technologist Job in Wausau, WI

Aspirus Wausau Hospital is seeking a Cardiovascular Surgical Technologist (CVOR Tech) for a 13-week contract position. You will work day shift, Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with 40 guaranteed hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up operative suites for patients and verify all supplies are available through case cart review
• Scrub surgical cases across a variety of specialties
• Turn over rooms for multiple procedures throughout the day
• Support approximately 50–60 cases per month across 3 cardiothoracic surgeons
• Complete downtime tasks such as pulling case carts and cleaning

On-Call Requirements

• 1 night of call per week with 30-minute response time; you must be ready and in the OR within that timeframe
• 1 weekend per month on-call
• 1 backup per week
• Every 3rd weekend required with holiday rotation
• Additional mandated call may occasionally be required
• May be required to float to all Central Aspirus locations as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of CVOR experience required
• Cardiac/thoracic experience required; thoracic robot experience preferred
• Prior travel experience required
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate Degree or Certificate preferred
• Current BLS certification
• CST license required (NBSTSA or NCCT accepted)
• AHA or ARC certifications required
• Contractors must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
