ICU RN Job in Austell, GA

Cobb Hospital is seeking a registered nurse for the Intensive Care Unit on a 91-day travel assignment. You'll work 3x12 night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, earning $1,864.80 weekly. The assignment begins July 2, 2026.

Your Role

You'll deliver comprehensive patient care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Your practice will be grounded in evidence-based care and relationship-centered approaches tailored to each patient's age, gender, disease state, and individual needs.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Providing direct bedside care and conducting shift reports with patients and their families
• Participating in interdisciplinary rounds and patient education
• Coordinating safe, quality care through clear communication across the healthcare team
• Documenting care thoroughly and accurately
• May float to the inpatient Burn unit as needed
• Contributing to performance improvement activities and shared governance initiatives
• Serving as a preceptor or mentor to nursing students and other professional nurses
• Maintaining compliance with all healthcare system policies, clinical competencies, legal and regulatory standards, and accreditation requirements

Requirements

• RN license (single state or multi-state compact)
• Associate's, Diploma, or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred)
• BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross)
• ACLS certification required within 180 days of hire
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
• Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment and respond calmly to emergencies
• Excellent critical thinking, time management, and analytical abilities
• Basic computer skills and proficiency with clinical technology systems
