Oncology RN Job in Springfield, MO

Mercy Hospital Springfield is seeking an RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Oncology. You will work 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) with a weekly pay of $2,322.

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care to oncology and hematology patients using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Manage a patient ratio of 6:1, adjusted for certain chemotherapy regimens
• Care for some med-surg overflow and comfort care patients as needed
• Float on a rotational basis within the med-surg cluster only
• Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments
• Maintain professional accountability for patient care and patient rights
• Demonstrate competence in drug titration

Requirements:

• Current RN license; must meet criteria for Missouri licensure or be currently licensed in Missouri
• 1 year of Med-Surg/Oncology or 1 year of Oncology inpatient experience
• BLS certification from AHA only
• Chemo Certification required
• NIHSS certification (may be submitted without but must be obtained prior to start)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in med-surg, oncology, and infusion

Shift Details:

• 36 or 48 guaranteed hours per week
• Weekend hours as required by facility
• No call requirements

Facility Information:

• EMR system: EPIC
• Dress code: Black scrubs required; no t-shirts unless an approved facility shirt; no sweatshirts, hoodies, or sweaters unless approved facility shirts

Assignment begins October 1, 2026.
