Oncology RN Job in Saint Louis, MO

Join Barnes-Jewish Hospital Nursing as a Registered Nurse in our BMT Oncology unit. You will care for patients undergoing bone marrow transplants and those managing leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and complications from blood cancers, including graft-versus-host disease (GVHD).

Role Details

• Patient ratio of 4:1 across all shifts
• Unit census averages 30 patients with 32 beds available
• Every other weekend required; floating throughout the Oncology department based on unit need
• Administer chemotherapy and manage autologous stem cell transplants
• Work environment uses Epic charting system

Required Clinical Skills

• Accessing and managing implanted ports and central lines
• IV push administration of chemotherapy and blood product management
• PICC line care and Foley catheter insertion and management
• Telemetry interpretation and monitoring; dysrhythmia recognition and response
• PCA pump management and isolation precautions
• Cytotoxic spill management and disposal

Required Certifications and Experience

• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Chemo certification (ONS or ONCC required)
• Minimum 1 year oncology nursing experience
• Must pass Relias EKG exam covering interpretation and dysrhythmia management
• First-time travelers welcome

Assignment Details

• Shift: Three 12-hour nights per week
• Duration: 91 days
• Start date: October 26, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,088
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs

Interdisciplinary Support

You will have access to IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams to support your patients and collaborate on their care plans.
