Med Surg RN Job in Waukesha, WI

ProHealth Waukesha Memorial Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract on a 53-bed Medical-Surgical unit. You will work a 3x12 night shift schedule with every other weekend required and holiday rotation. This position offers 36 guaranteed hours per week at $2,462.40 weekly pay, with no on-call or callback requirements.

Role Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care with a typical patient ratio of 1:7–8
• Manage patients requiring insulin and cardiac drips
• Read and monitor telemetry
• Document care in EPIC charting system
• Maintain strong documentation practices
• Float to other like units and facilities, including Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital and Mukwonago, as needed based on census

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• At least 1 completed traveler contract
• Short-term acute care hospital experience
• Experience with insulin and cardiac drips
• Ability to read telemetry
• EPIC charting experience within the last 12 months
• Current BLS certification
• Wisconsin or Compact nursing license
• Associate Degree or Certificate in nursing (Bachelor's Degree preferred)
