ED RN Job in Round Rock, TX

You'll work a 13-week contract as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at Round Rock Medical Center. This is a night shift position running 1:00 PM to 1:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week with a rotating weekend schedule and no on-call requirements.

The Role

You'll care for patients across a 48-bed emergency department with private rooms, hallway stretchers, fast track, and behavioral health areas. Patient ratios are 1:4 in the main ED, 1:5 in behavioral health, and 1:3 for cardiac and trauma cases.

Your clinical responsibilities include splinting, EKGs, central monitoring, trauma assists, central line placement, airway support, behavioral health de-escalation, Morgan lens application, rapid infuser operation, and resuscitation efforts. You'll work with equipment including Alaris pumps, Belmont and Level 1 Rapid infusers, and Stryker stretchers. Documentation occurs in the MEDITECH EMR system.

Requirements and Preferences

You must hold current ACLS, BLS, ENPC, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications. Meditech EMR experience is preferred, as is prior trauma experience and holding inpatient experience. CPI certification is also preferred.

What You'll Earn

The assignment offers $1,940 per week. The contract runs 91 days, starting September 14, 2026.
