Opportunity:

RN - Tele

Job Details:

• Work on a 32-bed telemetry unit with a patient ratio of 1:6 for nurses and 1:10-15 for technicians
• Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 5 nurses, and 3 techs; night shift includes 1 charge nurse, 5 nurses, and 2-3 techs
• Attend daily huddle at 6:45 AM for day shift or 6:45 PM for night shift with bedside shift report required
• 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule
• May float to other areas within skill set as needed
• Perform lab draws, IV insertions, foley insertions, and administer IV fluids and medications such as antibiotics
• Prepare patients for surgical and non-surgical procedures
• Must be familiar with telemetry and admissions and discharge processes
• Expanse EMR experience required; previous Expanse experience strongly preferred
• Ability to draw labs preferred
• Minimum one year of acute care experience on a med/surg telemetry or stepdown unit preferred
• Required certification: BLS
