RN - Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday shifts required
• Schedule is determined by manager; block scheduling is not available
• Unit operates on a Virtual Integrated Care (VIC) nursing model
• Must work the schedule as given
• 24-bed telemetry unit with a 6:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) present at a 12:1 ratio
• Common diagnoses include CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, CKD, and med/surg tele patients
• Telemetry monitor techs monitor patients; however, RNs must be able to read strips independently
• Care for patients on CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow oxygen
• Float to all med/surg units as needed
• Charge nurses, house supervisors, and nurse educators available on unit
• Strong communication and time management skills required
• Charting system: EPIC
• Scrub color: Navy blue
• Required certification: BLS
• Acute care setting
