PCU RN Job in Phoenix, AZ

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit at Banner Estrella Medical Center, caring for observation patients. This is a 3x12 night shift position with an 89-day duration, starting February 1, 2027. Weekly pay is $2,559.

Your Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document comprehensive nursing care for observation patients
• Monitor patients' physical, psychological, social, spiritual, and educational needs
• Review patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data to inform care decisions
• Formulate and implement individualized care plans including discharge planning
• Provide direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision as appropriate
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses in medical records
• Educate patients and families on care plans and treatment protocols
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team members
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development activities

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum one year acute care hospital experience
• Must have worked in an acute care setting within the past 12 months
• Bachelor's degree and professional certification preferred

Physical Demands

You will be required to lift up to 75 pounds and stand or walk frequently during your shift.
