Respiratory Therapist Job in Austin, TX

You'll join North Austin Medical Center as a Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week contract position in the NICU. This is a night shift role running 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week, with no call responsibilities.

What you'll do:

• Manage oxygen therapy and ventilator care for neonatal patients
• Administer nebulizer treatments and respiratory support
• Document patient care and procedures in the electronic medical records (EMR) system
• Work a rotating weekend schedule as needed

What you need:

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) certification
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NPR certifications
• NICU experience preferred; ICU and PICU experience also valued

Shift and schedule:

You'll work nights from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM on a three 12-hour rotating schedule, including weekends. This 91-day assignment begins June 15, 2026.

Compensation and logistics:

You'll receive $1,708.20 per week. Dress code is olive green scrub tops with black bottoms.
