Job Details:

• Night shift position working 36 or 48 hours per week
• Every other weekend requirement - 2 weekends of a 4-week posted schedule
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First time travelers accepted
• Must be greater than 50 miles from facility
• EPIC charting experience is a hard requirement
• Pyxis medication system experience required
• SBAR communication experience required
• Candidates will float as needed
• Treats patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Required skills include: general emergency department combined adult/pedi, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, central line care/management, phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs, continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, CVA, neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, ortho-trauma, abdominal pain, asthma, burns, epiglottitis, head injury, hyperglycemia, identifying and reporting abuse, infections, mental/behavioral health conditions, respiratory infections, seizures, ventilated patients, gunshot wounds, and traumatic amputation
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
• Preferred certifications: CPI, TCAR
• Preferred experience: Trauma Level I and Level II
• New York nursing license required and must be in hand at time of submittal
• 24-hour unit orientation
