ED Registered Nurse Job in Rochester, NY

Rochester – Unity Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This is a 91-day travel assignment with a start date of November 2, 2026.

Assignment Details

• Shift: 3 x 12-hour nights per week
• Weekly pay: $2,381
• Patient ratio: 1:5 with mixed/shared acuity levels
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Float required when census warrants
• Minimal requested time off preferred; cannot exceed 10 days of RTO
• 16 orientation hours required
• Block scheduling will be attempted but is not guaranteed

Requirements

• 1 year of emergency room nursing experience
• New York nursing license in hand at time of submission
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications
• Epic charting experience (hard requirement)
• Mandatory competency in phlebotomy and IV placement
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
• First-time travelers accepted

• General Emergency Department care (combined adult and pediatric)
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Multisystem organ dysfunction/failure management
• Blood product administration
• Central line care and management
• IV initiation and maintenance
• Continuous IV paralytics and sedation
• Emergency medications and IV vasopressors
• Procedural sedation administration and monitoring
• CVA, isolation precautions, and PPE
• BiPAP/CPAP management
• 12-lead EKG/ECG interpretation
• Psychiatric hold and suicidal patient management
• Drug overdose management
