Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work med surg telemetry shifts caring for all types of med surg patients
• Patient ratios of 4-5:1 on a 15-bed unit
• Weekend schedule required every other or every 3rd weekend depending on staffing and census
• No on-call responsibilities
• Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming Summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless unit is closed
• Traveler will be required to float across all campuses
• Scrubs: Navy blue, solids
• Experience with heparin drips required
• Remote telemetry monitoring via tele tech unit
• Minimum 24 months of Med Surg / Med Surg Tele experience required
• Must have completed at least 1 travel contract within the previous 18 months - no first-time travelers accepted
• Must be open and willing to extend past the initial 13-week assignment
• Proficiency caring for all patient types and variety of med surg patients required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Telemetry/cardiac background highly preferred
• Recent charge experience highly preferred
• Recent preceptor experience preferred
• Required certification: BLS (AHA or ARC)
• Active Iowa nursing license or compact/multistate license required
