CVOR RN Job in Saint Louis, MO

You will work as an RN in the cardiovascular operating room at Mercy Hospital South in Saint Louis, Missouri. This is a 13-week travel assignment beginning August 14, 2026.

Schedule and Pay

• Day shift: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM (5x8 hours)
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Weekly pay: $2,291
• Weekend on-call support as required by facility

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a cardiovascular operating room with 2 OR suites within a 21-bed main OR complex
• Manage 1:1 patient ratio per case
• Care for patients undergoing CABG, surgical valve procedures, thoracic surgery, and cardiogenic shock cases
• Apply the nursing process in perioperative practice: assessment, care planning, and implementation
• Maintain asepsis, infection control, wound exposure, and hemostasis techniques
• Operate equipment including Stryker cameras and Zoll defibrillators
• Float to other areas as needed by facility
• Use EPIC EMR system

Requirements

• Current RN license with eligibility for Missouri licensure
• Minimum 1 year of CVOR experience (2+ years preferred)
• BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA required
• Facility-provided scrubs required
